With globalization of both economies and education, Shangde aims to provide pathways with an international vision that promotes global citizenship. The school received official authorization by the International Baccalaureate Organization in April 2010, thus became an IB World School. Influenced by the IB concepts, Shangde has carried out the exploration of local and international curricula, combined the advantages, and is committed to cultivating Chinese citizens who will have positive impacts on the world.
Shangde has established friendships and partnerships with many first-class overseas schools, such as Westover School, Maine School of Science and Mathematics, Nacel Open Door Inc., King’s Academy, Ivanhoe Grammar School, Columbia International College in America, Bond International College in Canada, Bendigo Senior Secondary College in Australia, Rotorua Boys’ High School in New Zealand and Dayuan Academy in Korea, to run exchange programmes of teachers and students, and to recruit overseas students.
